Orchestra Body Shape
The Orchestra acoustic body shape, also known as Concert and Auditorium, is almost a halfway house inbetween smaller bodied guitars such as Parlours, and the larger Dreadnought style. Utilising a classic hourglass-type design, these guitars sit comfortably on the guitarist's knee and are incredibly popular with musicians who play folk or many forms of fingerstyle music. It's shape provides a perfect balance between playability and comfort, and has been the go to shape for many artists and performers. Despite its popularity with fingerstyle players, it is also perfectly suited to heavy strumming when required thanks to the larger and wider base of the body.
