The A-182-4 is a simple, passive, bi-directional two channel rotary knob switcher. Using the four-position knobs, you can route 1-4 to C or C to 1-4. Additionally, via a jumper setting you can turn this into a 4x4 matrix mixer where channel A routes to channel B and vice versa.
