The Minimoog Model D was inducted into the Mix Magazine TECnology Hall of Fame in 2005 for its impact on the music industry. Despite facing bankruptcy and increased competition in the 1970s Moog impacted the music industry in ways previously unseen. The Minimoog's origins and development are explored, showing how Robert Moog's innovation with voltage control and the use of readily available transistors revolutionized sound synthesis and led to the creation of the analogue synth.
